Tony Bavota began his study of the trumpet under the tutelage of Dominick DeGangi,  principal trumpet of the Baltimore Symphony.  After high school, he enlisted in the Army Band and attended the Naval School of Music.  His tour of duty took him to Germany.  While stationed there, he studied with renown trumpeter, Carole Reinhart.  After his military service, he attended Mary Washington College in Virginia and received his Bachelor's of Music.  He relocated to New York City in 1980 and studied with Vincent Penzarella of the New York Philharmonic. He concluded his studies at Queens College in Flushing, NY and began his career as a free lance musician.  His experiences include latin bands,  jazz ensembles, opera productions, orchestras, and national tours with shows such as "Annie" and "42nd Street".
